How It Started

Behind RomanSQ is a husband and wife duo who, amongst their many interests, share a genuine love of eating and cooking. Good fresh food has always been an integral part of their family life, no matter which corner of the world they happened to be living in.

Having eaten their way through the world in a previous life, an accidental detour from Miami to Tampa led them to Sarasota. A 180-degree change in lifestyle presented itself and they took it, running with it without looking back.

Narrowing down a lifetime of food influences to one discipline was not easy. They landed on Roman pizza: a style with a distinctly different character from the Neapolitan pizzas most Americans know.

Going Back to School

Laying claim to authentic Roman pizza was not enough. It meant going back to school and training under the world's masters. It meant dedicating the time to research ingredients, to prep, and to craft each pizza from the ground up.

The result is a dough that takes 96 hours to develop, a light, airy, and more digestible base that carries hand-prepared toppings sourced for quality. Every single ingredient on every single pizza is curated and prepared from scratch.

They wanted to start a different conversation about pizza: one built on detail, attention, and the kind of high-quality ingredients that make you stop mid-bite and notice.
